The collaborative gift book

The nicest thing
you’ll ever organise.

One link, a few of the right people, one beautiful printed book. Each of them adds a photograph and a message from their phone in about two minutes — Wewrote lays out, prints and delivers the rest.

No app, no account, and no need for twenty friends. Write a few pages yourself; every book is bound at 20 pages, and any left over are cream leaves to fill in by hand.

How it works

Group gifts, without the group admin.

Today a group gift is a WhatsApp thread, a strained spreadsheet and a bottle of gin. Wewrote is a better container for something you already do.

1

Start the book

Tell us who it’s for and the occasion — a 40th, a leaving do, a wedding. It takes a minute and you’re the only one who needs to do anything twice.

2

Send a link, or print the cards

Send one link to the people you want. Or, if there is a party, print cards with a code on and put one on each table — guests scan it and write a page there and then.

3

We print and deliver

Wewrote lays out every page automatically into a hardback book and delivers it in 7 days, or 5 if you are cutting it fine. You never touch a design tool.

Why people find us

Every book is made by people who have just seen how good it feels.

Nobody is sold to. Someone hands you a link, you write something true about a friend, and a month later there’s a moment when they open the book. That’s the whole marketing plan.

20pages in every book

Pricing

£19.99 for the book.
£0.99 a page after that.

The organiser pays once, when the book is ready. Splitting the cost between everyone who wrote in it is coming next.

A book with eight people in it costs the same as a book with twenty — £19.99 — because 20 pages is the smallest book a printer will bind. No VAT to add — the price you see is the price you pay.

The pages

Four photographs, arranged
however they look best.

Everyone who writes chooses how their own page falls — one photograph or four, across the top, filling the page, or beside the words. They see it as they choose it, and what they see is what gets printed.

Questions

The short version.

How long does it take contributors?

Under two minutes. One photo, a few words, done — from any phone, with nothing to install and no account to create.

Who sees the book before it’s given?

Only the organiser. Contributors see their own page as they write it; the finished book stays a surprise until the day.

What if someone misses the deadline?

The organiser sets the date and decides when the book is ready. It prints when you say so, not before.

How long does printing take?

About 7 days from ordering to your door, or 5 with faster delivery. Start the book two weeks before the day and you’ll be comfortable.
